This style of growing is called living organics. The goal in living organics is to allow the natural processes in the soil to just… happen. We control light quality, intensity, and the ambient environment so the plant grows consistently and uninterrupted. We also input the organic materials that will eventually provide the minerals the plant needs to thrive. Key word “Eventually” this is important key word because plants cannot absorb organic material. They can only absorb mineral nutrients.
We depend on microorganisms to decompose the organic matter inputs and convert them to plant usable nutrients. for this reason it is important to control the soil environment in order to make is hospitable to microorganisms. This means providing chemical free conditions , good soil temp and moisture level.
The philosophy: We do not grow the plant. The plant will grow with or without your help. All we do is provide the environments needed so that the microorganisms thrive.
